OOPSROOPS is founded by Roopsha Dasguupta an eminent creative professional with an experience of almost 2 decades.
She is an entrepreneur, writer, anchor, voice artist and actor. She had been one of the most popular RJ of Kolkata (Radio Mirchi); Regional Head East (Red FM); Director (Aamar FM). OOPSROOPS is her start-up which provides 360 degree brand and creative integration solutions to both domestic and international clients.
In her extensive career she has interviewed outstanding luminaries – Nobel laureate Amartya Sen, the former President Late Pranab Mukherjee, Oscar winner AR Rahman, superstar Amitabh Bachchan, cricketers Kapil Dev, Sourav Ganguly, Andrew Symonds, singer Asha Bhonsle and many more. The last concert of Late Manna De at Coffeehouse Kolkata was her brainchild. ‘RJ Rupsha’s Coffeehouse Classics’ was the most popular retro show and she had chased her dream of ‘Manna De @Coffeehouse’ with a strong desire. A few of her campaigns for Radio Mirchi, RED FM are historical and definitely once in a lifetime. She continues to create content and experiences which surely remain trendsetters. Her digital ADDA-AAH for the Bengali news portal ‘The Wall’ is the first live web chat show of Bengal and continues to be extremely popular amongst the viewers.
As an anchor, she has been a part of more than 2500 events across the world. She is the voice for many renowned advertisement commercials and her dubbing assignment for actor Radhika Apte in the National Award-winning Bengali Film ‘Antaheen’ was highly appreciated. She is a regular podcaster for ‘Ei Samay’ Gold and also engages in various story sessions for audio books.
As an actor, she has portrayed roles in regional Bengali films and web series.
With MA in English, PGD in Mass Communication and Psychological Counseling, she has been associated with institutions and universities as a Visiting Faculty for media studies, grooming and communication. Her various online trainings and workshops also continue to keep her engaged.
