I am a retired educationist. Looking back my cluttered memories, I can vivdly identify a few remarkable pupils who have passed through the portals of St. John’s Diocesan School, Kolkata, which was my working territory for more than twenty years.
Among them, my prized student, Roopsha Dasgupta holds the top position. A meritorious student with a happy disposition, a leader with that ‘ever ready to help’ attitude, was well loved by all educators and peers and she was our most acclaimed “School Captain”. Roopsha had helped us to organize many functions, and important events, she was an active member of our School Out-Reach programmes, and had been given the onus to lead our team to inter-school activities and excursions. She had made her niche in our hearts, though she was with us for a few years only. Among other important roles, she was the President of our Interact Club. She had been awarded numerous prizes and was honoured with the highest and the most prestigious, “Principal’s Award for the Best Girl” and also the “All Rounder Trophy for 2000”.Rosita Chrestien

I convey my best wishes, my immense love and blessings to her. And pray to the Lord, to grant her His wisdom and abundant blessings !
